Looking for a Koch cabinets dealer near you? Studio 11 Cabinets & Design is your local Koch cabinets dealer, based at 121 S. Main Street in Columbia, IL — right on Historic Main Street, and minutes from Waterloo, Millstadt, Dupo, and Belleville.
We’re not a warehouse that happens to stock a brand. We’re a design studio that deliberately selected Koch, and we’ve been designing and specifying Koch cabinetry for real Metro East kitchens for years. When you buy Koch through Studio 11, you get the cabinetry and the designer who knows how to use it — floor plans, 3D renderings, and a plan your contractor can actually build from.

Why we chose Koch Cabinets
Koch & Company is a family-owned American cabinet manufacturer founded in 1989 by Jim, Dan, and Fred Koch, who started out in a converted VFW dance hall in Seneca, Kansas. Today the company runs nine facilities across five locations and employs more than 900 people — and every cabinet is still made in the USA.
That combination is genuinely rare: the scale to deliver consistent quality and sane lead times, with the values of a family business that still cares what leaves the building. Here’s what stands behind the name:
- Made in America. Every Koch cabinet and door is manufactured domestically.
- Built like furniture. Solid hardwoods and plain-cut veneers, with a multi-step finishing process that includes hand sanding, baking ovens, and hand-applied techniques.
- Blum hardware. Koch builds with Blum — the Austrian hardware maker behind the smoothest soft-close hinges and full-extension glides in the industry.
- CARB Phase II compliant. Low formaldehyde emissions, which matters in a room where your family eats.
- Environmentally serious. Wood waste is ground and repurposed by local dairy farmers as cattle bedding; packaging uses recycled cardboard; paint waste is processed in a reclaimer to recover solvents.
- KCMA member. Koch is a member of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association.
Koch cabinet series we can specify for you
Koch builds across several series so the cabinetry can match the project — not the other way round. Part of our job is to steer you toward the right one for your space, goals, and budget.
Classic & Imperial Series — the premium, semi-custom range
This is where most of our kitchen projects land, and it’s the range with the deepest design freedom.
| Door Styles | Number Offered |
|---|---|
| Door styles | 24 |
| Wood species | 14 |
| Finishes | 45 |
Classic is a semi-custom line with over ninety customizable modifications — the flexibility to tailor cabinetry to an awkward wall, an unusual ceiling height, or a very specific idea. All hardwood stiles and rails, face frames, and drawer fronts. Custom color matching through Sherwin-Williams is available when nothing in the standard palette is quite right.
Real project: the Modern Farmhouse kitchen we designed in Waterloo, IL uses Koch Classic® maple in White Linen on the perimeter, paired with a black-painted island and a matching custom range hood. See it in our portfolio.
Express & Colonial Series — quality and value
| Door Styles | Number Offered |
|---|---|
| Door styles | 10 |
| Wood species | 4 |
| Finishes | 30 |
Express balances style, durability, and value — a strong fit for single-room updates, rental properties, or whole-home renovations where budget needs to stretch across a lot of cabinetry.
Why buy Koch through Studio 11 rather than a big-box store
You get a designer, not a salesperson. With over 28+ years of kitchen and bath design experience, we start by understanding how you actually use the room — then we specify Koch around that. Cabinetry is the single biggest line item in most kitchens; it deserves more than a catalog flick-through.
You see it before you buy it. Every project includes detailed floor plans and computer-generated 3D renderings. You’ll know exactly what your kitchen looks like before a single cabinet is ordered — no expensive surprises.
We match the series to the project. Sometimes Classic is right. Sometimes Imperial’s plywood box is worth it. Sometimes Express does the job and frees your budget for better countertops. A dealer who only stocks one tier can’t have that conversation honestly. We can.
We handle the coordination. We produce drawings your builder can work from, then schedule ordering and delivery around your contractor’s installation timeline. Cabinets typically run 8–10 weeks, so getting the sequencing right matters.
Your consultation is free. No charge, no obligation, no pressure.
Koch Cabinets for every room — not just kitchens
Koch builds whole-house storage solutions, and so do we. Beyond the kitchen, we regularly specify Koch cabinetry for:
- Bathroom vanities and linen storage
- Custom closets and wardrobes
- Mudrooms and entryway benches
- Laundry rooms and utility spaces
- Home offices and built-in bookcases
- Media walls, basements, and home bars

Frequently asked questions
Is Studio 11 an authorized Koch Cabinets dealer? Yes. We’re a Koch cabinets dealer based in Columbia, IL, and we specify Koch cabinetry across kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home storage throughout the Metro East.
Are Koch Cabinets made in the USA? Yes. Koch & Company manufactures all of its cabinets and doors domestically, across nine facilities in five locations.
Are Koch Cabinets custom or semi-custom? Koch’s Classic series is semi-custom, with over ninety modifications available — you choose door styles, wood species, and finishes, and can adjust dimensions and details, while keeping lead times and cost more predictable than fully bespoke joinery.
What’s the difference between Koch Classic and Imperial? Both share all-hardwood stiles, rails, face frames, and drawer fronts. Imperial adds an upgraded plywood box and plywood shelves for extra durability.
Do Koch Cabinets have soft-close doors and drawers? Koch builds with Blum hardware, and soft-close hinges and full-extension glides are available. We’ll confirm exactly what’s standard versus optional for the series you choose during your design consultation.
How long do Koch Cabinets take to arrive? Cabinet lead times typically run 8–10 weeks from order. We’ll give you an estimated ship date once your order is placed and coordinate delivery around your contractor’s schedule.
What warranty comes with Koch Cabinets? Koch backs its cabinetry with a manufacturer warranty — full current terms are published on Koch’s website, and we’ll walk you through what applies to your specific order.
Can I see Koch samples in person? Yes. Our Columbia showroom is appointment-only, which means your visit is unhurried and focused entirely on your project. Colors and finishes never render accurately on a screen — seeing real samples matters.
